Electrical energy ionizes a gas which releases electrons when it hits stainless steel. This creates temperatures of up to 30,000 K, causing the stainless steel to melt quickly. A gas flow blows out the cut joint and separates the material. When cutting stainless steel plasma, the arc plays an important role because the external heat influences the cutting process. A Z-axis height control allows precise adjustment of the focal point for the arc.

This classic cutting process makes it possible to produce various flat and square steel dimensions from sheets. The tolerances vary depending on the material and dimensions.

Compared to other straightening methods, roller straightening with FlatMaster® offers a simple and quick solution. The sheet metal part is formed by a series of alternating bends in the hydraulic machine. As a result, waterjet, laser or flame parts, which can take several minutes to hours to manually straighten, can be flattened within a few seconds.
